The 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship 25.08.10
The Team AON LPG Fords of Tom Chilton and Tom Onslow-Cole scored three wins at Silverstone on 22 August, with Chilton winning Races 1 and 2 and Onslow-Cole coming home first in Race 3. Jason Plato has a battle on his hands with the Fords and the Honda Racing Civics.
Jason Plato squeezed some genuine extra performance from the RML Silverline Chevrolet Cruze during the Sixth Round at Snetterton over the weekend of 7-8 August, following the BTCC's long summer break. The Oxford driver won races one and two and was fifth in the final race, which was won by Honda (Team Dynamics) and Gordon Shedden.
Honda Racing/Team Dynamics were to the fore at the Croft Circuit during the fifth BTCC weekend of 2010 (19-20 June) when Gordon Shedden triumphed in the first two races, from Rob Collard (WSR BMW) and Jason Plato (RML Chevrolet) in Race One and team-mate, Matt Neal, and Plato in Race Two. Race Three though witnessed the first BTCC win for Andrew Jordan in his Eurotech Racing Vauxhall Vectra, from the LPG Ford Focus of Tom Onslow-Cole and the BMW of Steven Kane.
Tom Onslow-Cole (LPG Team Aon Ford Focus), Jason Plato (RML Silverline Chevrolet Cruze) and Matt Neal (Honda Racing Team Civic) shared the wins in the three action-packed BTCC races at Cheshire's Oulton Park on 6 June.
Tom Chilton in the LPG-turbo Team Aon Ford Focus won both Races One and Two at the Brands Hatch GP Circuit on 2 May, with Mat Jackson (Airwaves BMW) taking the Chequered Flag in Race Three.
Arch rivals Matt Neal and Jason Plato shared the wins in the 3 BTCC rounds at ROCKINGHAM on 25 April, in the absence of Giovanardi who was away hoping to attract finance to re-join the Series later in the Triple Eight Vauxhall.
Fabrizio Giovanardi returned to the BTCC at the eleventh hour to post two wins for Vauxhall, and Uniq Racing with Triple Eight, at THRUXTON over the Easter weekend. The third race was won by Airwaves' BMW's Steven Kane.
